Do any of you guys ever catch anything this time of year in Ochlocknee Bay? I'm taking my dad fishing there in Feb. and I want to show him a good time. I don't really care about keepers, just enough bites to keep us busy. I've caught reds, flounder, sharks, etc. there when its warm weather, but not much this time of year.

Welcome Aboard Lucky Dawg

With a username like that it sounds like you won't need any help :-D

If you have a depth finder, you might try to find some rock bass around where the river channel meets the bay. Yesterday I found a large school or rockbass in the St. Marks river channel in a 20' hole. Fished with squid on the bottom, and had a good time but I got really cold..... They were hungry and I was fishing on the incomming tide. All shorts, but fun just the same..

I would start around this area N29 44.063 W84 59.052

Now you have done it. The whole bay will be going to the Dawgs!

Welcome aboard anyway.

Not had too much luck this time of year, but if you are looking for deep holes, there one on the point across from the public boat ramp in the Slopchoppy and another in O river as it bends to the south just before reaching the bay.

I was going to try where the O River meets the Bay in the deeper holes, then move up to the 98 bridge area to look for some sheephead, etc. If the weather is decent, maybe out to Rotary Reef.

Hey GT, somebody has to bring some class to Gator country!

OOPS !

Those GPS numbers are in the Apalachicola Bay area, not the Ochlocknee Bay area

Looks like you have a good plan that should keep the rods bowed
