Gary at Bridge Marine fixed us up with a new starter this week. I must say that they are on the ball. The boys started working on the boat as soon as Sea Tow dropped us at the dock around 4:30 Saturday afternoon.

Left C-Quarters at 6:15 headed to the S tower. Was surprised by to wind and white caps as we rounded Dog Island and hoped this wasn't a sign of things to come. Stopped to catch some live bait around the O tower and the wind started to let up. Got to our spot at 8:45 and had a hook-up right away - an 11# gag. Within an hour we had eight keepers grouper along with 5 triggers, 1 mango, 2 lane snapper, and 1 kingfish.
Decided to look for a new spot. This was the same spot we fished lask week and was my only number out here. Found a newspot about a quarter mile away and boated four more keeper grouper and one keeper red snapper. Also got 4 short red snapper (15 1/2") on this spot. Will have to try it again in a few months.
Headed back towards the dock at 12:30. We were running short of bait and had enough of the heat. Will try another trip in a couple fo weeks.

Good report. Since you've hit that spot now twice in two weeks, you should let it rest for a few months. However, you should use it as a "base" point to find new spots in the area. Once you get a dozen or so spots out there, you can begin to rotate them and never take more than a couple of fish off of each one. Doing this will mean you will have productive fishing spots for years to come.

P.S. Glad to hear that you back on the water quickly.
