Just wondering what brand of wax y'all recommend. I currently use starbrite wash and their wax. It seems ok, but i wonder about the kerosene that's in the wax.

Bowd... I usually wash my boat with whatever car wash stuff I have on hand. When I wax ( which isn't often enough ) I use Meguires. Same kind I use on my truck. I used Woody Wax once and it was very easy but it didn't last very long for the $$.
I see you are in Keaton Beach. Do you live there or is that where you fish out of ?

Oxalic acid

For white boats (never used it on colors), you can't beat Oxalic acid. River stains and rust dissapear instanlty when sprinkled with Oxalic acid. You can get it at paint supply stores and it is all over Ebay.

Wet the surface, sprinkle the Oxalic acid powder around, spread it with a brush, rinse.

Meguiar's. But then I don't have any experience with anything else. I am so freaking anal - I wash with after every trip(car soap) and wax every 3rd trip. Seems to last about as long a car waxes. I am only picky about car waxes(zymol).

I live in Perry and fish out of Keaton. I have a Key Largo 172 and sometimes fish out of a 14' Lone Star. I usually fish where everyone else isn't. Don't like being himmed up between all the Georgia Boys on the flats.
