Kayak Loading Bar
Loading a kayak on a tall vehicle such as a SUV can be a chore and often requires a small footstool or ladder of some sort to avoid throwing your back or shoulder out. A big help in loading is the bar extender system that both Thule and Yakima market. Thule calls theirs an "Outrigger Lift Assistâ€

This is a FANTASTIC post! And I haven't even read it! Yet. I have been concerned how I would handle the Kayak that is in my future somewhere, and I actually researched it and all and saw of these Thule brand extension bars, expensive and hard to find.
But just lookin' at the opening lines of this post, and the pix, I KNOW this is a gold mine ! Thanks Apalach!!
I really look forward to studying it, not to mention gettin' and USING a kayak to explore AND catch fish!
