Anybody chase after the slab crappies?
Pay attention, Chalk! I'm not talking about crappy fishermen, so don't bother to tell me how bad you fish and catch!

Thanks for the come-back!
Have you had better luck in the bigger lakes (Seminole, Talquin) or private ponds, or even rivers?
What kind of ultra-light rods do you prefer? What's your take on, crappie rods? Ever fish with cane poles?
Do live baits outproduce artificials? Ever use shinners?
If you don't want to give away your secrets, I'll understand.
Shhhhh! Chalk is listening!

I seldom target specs in rivers, although I would like to.
I have permission in one private pond that only I fish, and it is loaded, I catch a mess every time. It really is getting overstocked.
I have good luck at Miccosukkee, and I have never spec fished at Seminole or talquin, but paln to do so this year soon.
I have the Wally mart versions of ultralights, and they serve me well.
I mostly use jigs, sometimes I buy minnows and tip the jigs for trolling.
sometimes I fish with minnows and a cork
And i always enjoy eatin' the rascals!
