Left the lower ramp at 10:30am on the pontoon boat. Tide was starting to rise. Water 58-61 thru the day.Took west cutoff and started fishing the creeks. Back at the ramp at 4pm. Eight reds to 23" two trout 17 & 19". All caught on Calcasieu Brew. Threw other stuff including shrimp, no bites on anything else. Saw 4 other boats in there. One boat landed a nice 6# red. The other boats reported no bites. Using the wrong bait I guess.

Hi, it's mister six# Red here :-D . Me and member Rocket fished together and was only able to boat one more Red. I think ya'll must have caught'em up before we could get to them.

I thought it was a new beer, but it's a new color:

JT51,
I threw the Calcasieu Brew probably 50% of the time we fished. I used an 1/8 oz. chartrusse head with mine.
Did you jig, or straight retrieve?
It did produce a undersize pup, but that was it.

Nope didn't keep any trout only kept one of the reds. I don't care that much for trout I prefer to eat reds and flounder. The only rerason I keep trout in season is because I have lots of folks who ask me for them.
