I have looked around and haven't found anything I really like.

Anyone one have suggestions....low power draw, but bright enough to see at night. Also, mounting suggestions? I'd like one light in the front and one rear.
Open to any and all suggestions and opinions. Pictures would be even better!

I used fog lamps from wal-mart for spreader lights and used a 3-way toggle so I can use one or both at the same time. I wouldnt call them low voltage though, but the really light the boat. 8)

Wevans has it right, get ya some flourescents. I have some that are a round clear tube with black ends. I think I got them from Millers marine in Ocala for around $50. Not cheap, but going on 2.5 years now and still working great... They make plenty of light and do not drain your battery. I have left them on all night while bottom fishing and had no issue starting motors off the same battery in the morning.

Hey GC, I definately want to add lights to my (Wha'ser name's) old boat, so I need to know about'em, too.
I'l like to know more on the fine points of night fishing in general, so brought the subject up in "Fishing". I hope you don't mind me de-railing yer thread. QO

Thanks for the info guys.... Now I'm gonna have to add some fluorescents and some fog lights!

And, no problem qoutrage! Although, my main concern was getting caught out in bad weather and not being able to make it back before dark.....more so than night fishin'.....but they'll probably get night fishin' use too!

Thanks again!
