I probably need to watch that video.
I bought a small one (8-10 ft) on the way down here, on a trip 'Wat'ser name' and I, made about 10 years ago. 'Think it mighta been the first time, we came to Fl together.
I had tried learning how to do it 25 years or so ago, with little success.
Anyway, we stopped on the east side of the Apalach bridge looking around, and I decided to get it out for a try.
First cast, I caught a 2-3 pound sheephead.
Boy was she impressed.
We had rented a cottage on a canal on SGI, so had the opportunity to try it there, too. 'Caught a bunch of fingerling mullet- nothing big enough to keep. 'Thought I was getting pretty good, 'til I tore it to shreads trying to catch something off the rocks at 'the cut'.
'Think throwing one ain't that hard, but it's something you have to do pretty regular, to get good at it.
'Got to be careful puttin' the dang skirt of it in ya mouth.
It's a good way to loosen some teeth.

Thanks DStock! That's a good viedo. Not having to get wet is a good thing. I get soaked my way so I'll be in the yard trying this Calusa method later today.
