One of my goto partners and I put in around 12:30. Past several boats coming back in as we went out. FWC was checking some folks in the river. Water was clear but colored. Don't have a temp read but it was cool in the water and the wind was very chilling. I would guess the wind at 12-14. Waves weren't bad, but choppy. We went East to Hickory Mound area and went back into a creek. Fished the creek for about an hour or more, saw a few mullet that we spooked and a few jumping but never got a bite! Water seemed to be more cloudy back in the creeks. We moved back out on the flats and the wind was still there. Didn't bring enough clothes this time. We tried drifting in a couple of different depths but no action. Ran back towards the river mouth and just a few hundred yards west. Drifted around some of the bars/rocks in that area but still didn't get any hits. Got even colder so we headed in. Saw several boats in the river over some of the holes, couldn't tell if they were doing any good or just in there to get out of the wind. Felt like it was 25 degrees warmer by the time we got half way to the launch. We used the new red/gold grubs from the Social with no jig head, a couple of different Cajun Spinners, one yellow/green grub under a CT. Checked with a couple of boats who came in and one had the same story as we did. NOW...... the rest of the story. NOPE....aint gonna do it...You will just have to wait for Jumptrout51's report. But I SAW THEM!
