Just wonderin what break in procedure is recommended for that bad boy

I don't have the book handy but it seems pretty straight forward. Something like 1st hour no more than 3000 RPMs but you can go higher to get on plain. After that no more than 4,000 with varied speeds for about 10 hours and after 20 change the oil and filter. Oil changes every 100 hours. It holds 8 qts with a filter change . The thing is rated for 6,000 wot. I couldn't believe it but it'll dang sure jump my boat up out of the water. I can't wait to get it on a long run. Hopefully it'll be broken in before summer.

What pitch prop did you get? Mine will turn a 23 pitch to 5800 rpm and thats skinnin it back at 55 mph

I think it's a 19. It's the same one that was on my 2-stroke. I guess I just lucked out and it was the right one. I am sure it won't top out at 6000 with a full tank of gas and 5 people. When I test drove it I only had about 30 gallons ( it holds 100) and 2 people. I may have to change props but I won't know until I give it a real test.

That engine is designed to spin a 16 in. prop, you might want to check that. Your two stroke prop is probably smaller, just because it fits doesent mean its the right one, you will want all the performance you can get.Im not real smart so check with someone who is

It uses a 16" and Suzuki makes a 17,18.5,20,21.5,23 and 24.5. Congrats on the new boat. And your going to love that motor.

I'm not using it because it "fits" I'm using it because it seems to work well. I am going to test it better tomorrow to determine if it is the correct pitch/diameter.
