millcreek 15.5

Post by mitchellmichaelh »

Having built several Kayaks over the years for others its time to build one for me. I am considering the mill creek double 15.5 feet wider than most Kayaks. Anyone have knowledge of the boat?

Used to fish a Folbot around the lighthouse years ago mostly trout and flounder. Caught a bunch of Reds of the rusty barge at the Wakulla and St. Marks river.

Also looking for good salt water spots that can be fished from shore until I get a Kayak

A note from the builders.....
It's a Mill Creek 15, not a 15.5........The Mill Creek 15.5 is not 15' 5" long as stated in our 1998 catalog. It is actually 15' ½" long and it should be called the Mill Creek 15. Somewhere in the catalog production process 15' .5" was changed to 15' 5" and we never caught the error. Our apologies.

Welcome aboard! We really do need to pull these kayak folks together for a trip.
Wading options I'd suggest are Wakulla Beach west in low water so you can really get around. Alligator Harbor off 98 & Bald Point would be a good 2 spot option.

gotta find job first

Thanks for the comments but will need to find a better job before I can even think about going fishhing much less building the boat.

I would build custom kayaks and boats commercially but customers are few and far between.
