Where on-line can I find the definitions for the symbols on charts.

Good afternoon DS. :D

This may be more than your after but the link will take you to Chapter 14 (a PDF) of the Coast Guard Boat Crew Seamanship Manual covering Navigation. I think what your looking for is there but you may have to do a bit of browsing and it will take a minute to load. (start looking around page 16)

Don,

Pick up a copy of Chapman's Piloting. It is a good read and reference.

Get a #! chart at west marine it has every symbol for charts in it. (it is really a book)

The book is called "Chart 1" or "Chart One". It has all the symbols you could ever imagine. Chapmans has them too but thats expensive.
