NOAA completely flubbed the forecast Saturday. I woke up at 4:30 and there was a SCA, but winds were only about 8 mph. Went back to sleep and woke up at 8:00 and the wind was still about 8 mph, with no rain on the radar, so I said lets go.
Got on the flats with only a 1 ft chop about 9:30. Sun bright, wind laying, turned out to be a beautiful day. We ended up with 2 trout to 22", 1 bluefish, 3 rockbass and the cobia. We left at 2:00 riding in with a gentle SE breeze and near flat seas.

Nice cobe.

Only good thing about not fishing on Saturday was I earned an afternoon/early evening trip from my wife sometime in the near future.

Wanna go?

When? This week is pretty solid, next week may be doable.

Next week I'm heading down to Mosquito Lagoon for the 4th. Leave on 3rd after work. My wife and I are going to chase big ole reds with her dad.
Monday or Tuesday afternoon might be possible.
