We were suppose to meet a friend out at marker 1 and run to Steinhatchee reef together but his motor blew up on the way out the channel. So we went to #3 and picked up some shrimp he had and he stayed an messed around with trout. The water was very dirty and a white grub disappeared after about 6 inches or so. After we got the shrimp we headed out to catch a fish I have yet to catch. I have never really tried to catch a Sheaphead and after this weekend it will probably be a while before I try again. We found a place to anchor around 1030 and dropped some shrimp down on light tackle. Some on jigheads some on regular hooks with split shot. We got a few weak bites, which I assume were sheaphead and couldn't hook any. Around 1130 we decided to head offshore for some Grouper. There were no boats on our first spot which is very public and that isn't a good sign. I had a feeling the fish wouldn't bite with the weather we have had. Cold fronts and tons of rain just aren't good for fishing. There was very little wind and even less tide. We trolled stretches for a few miles in the area with no hits. We drifted cut bait and live bait with not much action. We drifted over a pretty decent looking spot so I threw the buoy out and we anchored. We caught some grunts, sea bass, mother-in-law fish, puffers and a huge sting ray on a trout rod. It was a great day to be on the water but not a very good day to fill the fish box. We headed in around 5 to an empty boat ramp and proceeded to the Golden Corral to eat. We got home around 1030 PM and I had to go bass fishing with my friend Tuesday. That went about the same way. One cat fish.

Let me know what you find. If it's good I'll let you give me the number or I can just steal it the next time we go together.

I need to get me a new bottom machine. Mine is a POS!

I'll have to check but I don't think I have all of those "settings". Maybe mine is still in "demo" and I just think there is fish down there.

If its anything like the one on your old boat, then you should make a reef out of it.
Seriously, if you are grouper fishing and your bottom machine has less than 6 buttons, not only are you not in the game, you haven't even made it out of the lockeroom. 2 words Chris...
