Made another short trip yesterday. Bait still holding at the bouys. Fished down the 10 fathom line, keeping an eye on the horizon. Boxed 3 gags, 1 red to 28". Frozen LY's were the ticket, the more foul smelling, the better. Greenbacks, razor bellies, and even some small blue runners were ignored??? Lots of rain, but thankfully little to no thunder. Miscalculated one cloud and had to put the bow into the wind and ride it out. While the rain was coming down in buckets, I noticed the depthfinder lost it's bottom lock. The only thing we could figure was that maybe the rain was injecting air beneath the surface, sound plausible? Seas were FLAT between the storms. Ran back in around 2:30 because of a menacing cloud that promptly dissipated when we got to the hill. Looks like summer patterns are here- time for a radar.
