WIND AN SEAS KINDA ROUGH!
THERE ARE SOME REAL BRAVE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD, WE WAITED UNTIL ABOUT 10:30 TO HEAD OUT HOPING THE SEAS AND WIND WOULD LAY BUT NO LUCK. WE CALLED ON THE RADIO TO A COUPLE OF BOATS FROM THE CAMPGROUND TO SEE IF WE COULD GET ANYBODY TO FOLLOW US OUT, WE HAD 2 BOATS THAT TOOK UP THE OFFER. WE HEADED OUT TO THE FIRST # ABOUT 1 MILE FROM THE CRANE. A NUMBER WE HAD MARKED TROLLING FROM THE CRANE ABOUT 4 WEEKS AGO. THERE WERE 2 OR 3 BOATS ANCHORED UP ON THE CRANE SO WE ANCHORED UP AND BEGAN FISHING, THE GUYS THAT WERE WITH US ANCHORED BESIDE US AND WE WERE ABOUT 25 FOOT APART IN A TRINAGLE SHAPE. WE PICKED UP ABOUT 2 KEEPERS AND 15 OR SO SHORTS, AND THE OTHER BOATS WERE DOING WELL ALSO. THEN WE LOOK UP AND WE SEE ONE OF THE BOATS FROM THE CRANE HEADED OUR WAY, THEY HAD THE NERVE TO TROLL BY US :smt013 , ABOUT 20 FEET BEHIND US, I KEEP MY COOL AND DIDNT SAY ANYTHING BECAUSE I HAD MY MOM ON THE BOAT. THEY TROLLED AROUND ALL THREE OF US ONCE AN THEN GOTTA LOVE THIS THEY TROLLED BETWEEN US. I SAT THERE A SECOND AN THOUGHT ABOUT IT, AND DONT KNOW HOW I KEPT MY DANG MOUTH SHUT AND IF MY MOM WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN WITH US ON THE BOAT I WOULD HAVE WENT APE SH$#, BUT I GUESS THEY WERE JUST TRYING TO CATCH FISH. IT GETS BETTER THEY RUN ABOUT A 230 IN FRONT OF THE BOAT WHICH JUST HAPPENED TO BE THE ANCHOR HEADIND AND THROW THERE ANCHOR OUT. THE ANCHOR FINALLY CATCHES ABOUT 10 FOOT IN FRONT OF OUR BOAT, I AM SURE GALD IT DID BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING TO DRIFT RIGHT INTO US. SO I GO TO THE FRONT OF THE BOAT TO PULL IN OUR ANCHOR ROPE BECAUSE THEY WERE SITTING RIGHT ON TOP OF IT, AND DIDNT WANT THEM TO GET HUNG UP. SO WE ALL 3 PULL IN THE ANCHORS AND HEAD OUT TO THE NEXT HOLE. ON THE WAY MOM LEANS OVER AND ASKED WHY DIDNT YOU GET ON THERE A@# FOR GETTING SO CLOSE TO US. I JUST LAUGHED AND SAID THAT USUALLY DOES NOT HAPPEN, AND DIDNT WANT TO START ANY TROUBLE WITH YOU ON HERE. WELL I AM TIRED OF TYPING SO THE TOTAL FOR THE DAY 8 KEEPERS UP TO 15 LBS AND ABOUT 40-50 SHORTS. WE RAN OUT OF BAIT AT THE BARG ABOUT 3:00 AND HAD PICKED UP 3 KEEPERS IN 10 MINUTES AND A BUNCH OF SHORTS, WISH WE HAD MORE BAIT. GREAT DAY BESIDES THE LITTLE EPISODE AT THE CRANE, WHEN WE GOT BACK TO THE DOCK THE BOAT THAT STOLE OUR NEW # WAS RENTING A HOUSE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CANAL, MOM NOTICED THE BOAT, AND I JUST LAUGHED. I LOOK LIKE A LOBSTER TODAY. SUN BURNED

That happened to us one time fishing the Crane. A guy in a boat named Reel Job pulled up beside us and anchored like he owned the place. That's what happens at public numbers I guess. It's good that you got to go out and catch some fish.

Good you caught some keepers, but public number or not, there is no reason to anchor so close to another boat, unless you are invited to do so.

Interesting report CRC. Way to keep ya cool.

Other than that, sounds like y'all had a good and productive day out there.
