Hazards St Marks

Lat week I made a couple trips to St Marks….Fishing was great all three days I fished…While in the Rock Garden area early in the week, I happened up on a rock at low tide I’d never seen before…It was about .5 to .6 mi. SW of Black Rock….Had about a foot of broken white pve sticking up at an angle that had been stuck there to mark it….It was a big one and at low tide would have given a boat that was moving fast some damage…I marked it and GPS coordinates are 30 03 639 N and 84 07 283 W…these are approximate as I had drifted away a short distance before I thought to set the waypoint….
Saturday about 10:30 am I was NW of there and hit one in an area I’d never seen rocks…dinged up prop and skeg some but no major damage…This one was 1.3 mi. West of the Rock Gardens..Again the approximate GPS coordinates are 30 04 085 N and 84 08 428 W..I named these and saved them also….Now when I crank up the first thing I do is check the nearest waypoint on the GPS as soon as I start to move to make sure I’m aware of any in the area that I at least have the numbers for…I’ve always had the known hazards saved as waypoints..
I just wonder how many other forum members have hazards like these marked and would share them with the forum…It would sure be a help to all of us….
