50'-65' Strong bite until 12:00 noon. LY's, Sardines, squid all on the bottom.

Took my son, and two friends from church.

Total count 6 grouper 24"-29"; one King Mackerel trolling stretch 30 in 60'; 6 keeper red snapper; 3 black bass; and one 5' shark on a red fish pole! :-D

Also, one bad sunburn! :smt004

Caught the snapper on a 40 lb leader with 2-4/0 circle hooks (stinger hook in tail) had many cut offs but it was a blast.

Sounds good.
We weren't so lucky out of Lanark, about 20 shorts, 1 short RS, and a few grunts off the bottom after fishing all day (0930-1630) over 6 or 7 spots(35-67 ft). Hardly worthy of a report.
Thanks for the heads up WTF, we'll do it different tomorrow.

WTF,
Sounds like you did better than most. I also was out of Alligator Point on Monday. The crew I had fished hard all day, catching about 40 or more short grouper, while putting only 5 in the box and none bigger then 26 inches. :-? We also picked up a King on a stretch 30 and a few red snapper in close. Had a pretty good bite on two of my spots but just couldn't get the big ones to bite. Good report!
