It's all about the "O"

Was working down in Carabelle and decided to knock off early and meet a buddy of mine to go try out his new "old" boat. We left the Moorings around lunchtime and headed out to the Franklin Co. Reef.....2 boats there but managed only 1 keeper red grouper over 1 hour. Decided to head over to the O Tower just to run the boat a little more. We tied up to the Tower and noticed quite a few red snapper swimming in and out of the Tower about 10-15 ft. down. The light tackle gear was brought out and down went some squid. Almost immediately they began to hit the dropping squid. During all this fun, I noticed what had to be some of the biggest Cobia I have ever seen cruising around the surface on the north end of the Tower. I threw all kinds of bait at them (nothing live :x ), but they were not interested. We boated a few nice snapper and decided to head back....got tired of hearing the dang tower blow and the birds trying to crap on us! Stopped off at one more spot and topped off the cooler with 35 nice rock bass. Back at the Moorings around 5:45 without having to call Sea Tow

Water was between 68-70 and very clear offshore. Seas were minimal and hardly any wind and overcast......great day to be on the water. Baits used were squid and frozen cigar minnows....most action on the squid.
