Carrabelle- O Tower Area 4-20

Freddy, Ted, and me wanted to be on the water early, say around 7 or so, but getting 'us' and everything else together, it was more like 745, before we got to the ramp.
'Had the boat in the water, but still on the trailer, where I managed to flood (I guess) the dang Yammie.
'Pulled th' rig back to the house- Checked a plug (looked in good shape, but damp)- Shot a little carb cleaner in the throats and it started right up.
Finally, on the water and running about 9 or a little after. It was near smooth, and the sky was mostly clear with an air temp of about 68.
We went out the East Pass and took a direct to the O Tower.
The water was clear with the temp hovering around 70 degs.
'Trolled S30's for about an hour without a hit, then settled in to a spot at 67'. The bite was fair, with Freddy and Ted taking a keeper red each in short order. Me- I was messing with the GPS and fooling around with other stuff (in other words, I wasn't catchin' anything).

Freddy hung and delivered to the boatside a 50-60lb blacktip shark, which was kinda the high point of the morning. We all wanted it to be a cobia or big king, but no cigar.

We moved a couple of times, and did some riding on the decent seas.
At about 3, things really picked up. The bait (LY's, squid, and cut mullet) brought a hit as soon as it hit the bottom (mostly shorts). 'Thought we might get some snapper, but didn't. We caught about 15 and added 2 more reds and a gag to the box, before headin'to the hill around 430.
The water was still pretty smooth, so I took the opportunity to open the 150 up for the first time.. Best it would do was 37mph at 5k. Thought it might do it good to blow it out, since I been doing most of my crusing at about 24-25mph or less.
'Back at the house at 545. We skinned and filleted 4 reds to 25"and 1 26" gag.

To finish off a good and fairly productive day, we took a mess of fillets and the throats to 'Summers@The Bridge', and Steve fried'um up for us. Man was it good.

Thanks for the comments y'all.
Freddy reminded me, that we did get one snapper (first fish caught/released) out by the tower. CRS- it's a gettin' old thing..
No GC, didn't keep that shark- I don't like messing with the dang things. No place to put it anyway.
