Headed out of Coe's looking for some specs. Ended up with only one nice keeper that had to have went close to 2lbs. Rest were all small. Caught on minnows. Back at the house by lunch.
I just started fishing talquin recently and mostly target specs. Haven't really had much success so far. Been using jigs/minnows. Any advice is appreciated.

  ....Nice Speck

We use to fish Harvey, Freeman, Ocklawatha (aka Boy Scout) creeks for specks...We trolled jigs up and down the creeks, mostly straight line trolling, but in late spring we would look in the back of the creeks looking for some staging to spawn...Take a cork and control the depth of the jig in the shallow water....

Troll chart/white Hal Flies up & down all the creeks Chalk mentioned until you find them.

You'll do better to fish toward the west end of the lake for specks. I don't fish for them, but do observe others. The creeks Chalk mentioned are all productive.
