Thanks to all of the input from this forum, I was able to take my family out on the flats east of the Lighthouse for a great day of fishing. We were able to fill our limits on trout as well as a couple of Spanish. All were caught on either DOA shrimp or Saltwater Assassin with the natural shrimp and/or chartreuse colors being the most productive. Some were caught Under a CT while other just swarming the jigs. The keepers were caught in 4 to 5 feet with as slow a presentation as possible in the wind. The shallower water seemed to hold smaller fish.

My crew consisted of my wife, my 6 year old son, and my 11 year old son. Everyone caught fish all day. We must have caught 60 to 80 fish in order to pick up our limit of keepers, but for the young ones, the constant action was the ticket, even though the little one didn't understand why the short ones had to be thrown back. I finally got him to understand that we were putting them back so he personally could catch them later.

Again, thanks to the members here for your valuable information, I don't get to take the family out very often and you keep me in touch with the locations and methods needed to make the most of the times we can go.

Nice. We braved it on Saturday too with pretty good luck until the wind picked up around 3:00pm. After the forecasts, I was thankfull for the fishing that we were able to do. 1 26 inch speck, 4 other keepers, 1 spanish, and a few ladyfish. We had a couple other good runs that were lost. Only 2 shorts though.
