I guess that makes it a pattern.
Very tough fishing with strong winds! Headed west Fri-Sun
and fished from 3-5 feet in very murky water (never saw the
bottom for sure). Winning ticket was jig under CT popped
quickly out ends of boat. Everything else was a very distant
second. Again, color didn't seem to matter.
Each day got a limit fairly easily and some shorts but not
as many as weekend before. All keepers were 17-19 with one 21".
Add two spanish, a nice flounder and a jumping bluefish for
three days of fun in the wind. A nice cobia played with me
for about 10 minutes before deciding the game was over and
left for other pursuits.
Whatever happened to March being the windy month?
One thing encouraging: passed a red pinfish trap at mouth of
river with 1/3 of it showing as I passed by on plane with motor
as high as jackplate would raise it. PUCKER TIME!
