Headed out the river about 10:00 AM with lifelong buddy and his friend from Indiana who, until yesterday had never before fished saltwater.
Started out west of the river with almost no drift, wind or fish. Moved east and started picking up shorts. Since it was his first trip we decided to enjoy the shorts for as long as it would last. As the time passed, the wind and the drift picked up quite a bit. We finally started to catch some keepers and the Yankee was having a good time. His wife calls from home to see if he's having fun and ofcourse, a nice one strikes just then. He politely but quickly says "Gotta Go !!!" and lands another nice keeper. By mid-afternoon the waves were getting big so we headed in about 4PM. Ended up with 11 keepers, all very healthy fish and a great day of fun.
