JT,where have the big trout gone? You catch 20-30 for every keeper, and he's usually not a real big keeper. I wonder if they are closer in or up creeks somewhere. Better luck next time on the tourney trail.

23 boats fished the tournament. 1 in 3 boats had trout over 4lbs. most over 5lbs. 2 over 6 lbs.
They haven't gone anywhere. You just haven't gone where they are.
Anyone interested in catching quality fish on a regular basis should invest time in tournament fishing for that species. Your fellow competitors are more than willing to offer help and advice to improve your chances.
You have to fish often and you have to keep bait in the water. You have to pattern the fish. They move east, west, north and south constantly. So should you. You need to find as many areas that hold fish as possible, because they won't be in the same place everyday. The quality fish are often replaced by the short fish and sometimes no fish. Keep casting, keep moving.

Wether we deserve it or not, sometimes we all get our butts kicked. (Some more than others
