Wow, am I worn out...After a early morning fishng trip to a river near my house with a fishing buddy and life time friend (in search of the ever illusive redbelly bream, which we caught about 25). I headed to the house to switch boats and make good on a promise to my girlfriend and her son to go flats fishing Saturday afternoon. We got to the water about 2:30PM. Headed out the mouth and about 2 miles Southwest. The water was really choppy but the bite was good right away. First cast, the boy caught a 14" trout. The drift was fast (I need to get a drift sock) but we caught short after short. This was fine since the idea of the day was more about catching anything to have fun. It was quite a while before we caught a keeper that I wasn't afraid might shrink to under the 15" mark. But we finally caught 6 keepers, a blue, a shark (which by the boys terminology was "tight"), 3 Spanish, and a catfish. The winds picked up throughout the day and by 7 PM it was time to call it a day and head for the hill. Got to the ramp to be greeted by "the man". Back to town around 8:30Pm, washed the boat off, iced down the catch and home at 9:30......What a long but wonderful day. Sipping coffee this morning thinking about how truely blessed I am. It will make sitting on the mower today a bit sweeter...I hope to add some pictures later today.

That young game warden at Anky tickles me hiding his truck and
running to the dock when a boat pulls up. He usually has trouble
talking with the massive "dip" in his mouth. :-D

One day recently as he climbed into my boat I started walking away and he asked if I was going to stay while he checked my boat. I told him
to check anything he wished while I went to get my truck and trailer.
When I returned and backed in he never said anything.
