Who all's doing the Hands Helping Anglers thing tomorrow? My guest is a gentleman who lives at Westminister Oaks, and I assume he is more elderly than some of you guys. He is mostly blind. He really wants to fish.
I am a bit concerned about the weather or the ride in the 13'er:
Saturday
Southeast wind 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 4 feet. Protected waters a light to moderate chop. A chance of showers and thunderstorms.
But I am a "go" at this point. I think I will go out of Shields as it is easy in-and-out of the boat and they are waiving launch fees. My plan would be to head east, but probably not far at all given the likely chop: Last Sunday, My Bride was, well, sorta yellin' at me for bringin' the boat in "fast" as we did get a bit wet! No trolling motor yet, so that will keep me out of the creek mouths.....
It will be right at low tide, or right after, when we launch.
Other than around the islands or Gray Mare, I don't really have any "spots" out there for trout, etc. I wonder, if I go to the "flats," how deep I should go, how far east of the St. Marks, etc......
