Well, ya'll already know that Walden showed me the hot spots for the trout last Sunday, the 29th... that was the only decent trip, as the wind blew, the rains fell, and I had a hard time mastering the hard (non-grassy) bottom. We did manage a few keeper trout, managed to fish on Monday afternoon, Thursday morning, Friday morning, and Saturday morning. This was the highlight of the trip:

Mrs. iknownuthin wasn't too happy about having to turn him back, but we did nonetheless... :hammer:

Thanks everyone for all the tips, particularly Walden and Teresa for being the fine, upstanding folks that they were, for the tips on where to eat, where to fish, and for Walden being a gracious host on the excellent trout trip. As TC said, Walden is THE MAN when it comes to that area.

Thats nice redfish, well done, those things can spoil you for catching trout.
I know you returned it, but it does look like a keeper.... or is that an optical illusion ?

Cranfield,
It is an optical illusion. He was 29+ inches. Don't forget that I am a big old boy at 6'3" and 230#, and I was not holding him out for the camera. Instead, I was trying my best to hold on and not drop him or kill him. ;)
