Need to buy a few things

Can any of you give me recommendations on what and where to buy the following:

A polling platform

A push pole

A detailed map of the waters of the Big Bend and Panhandle

A hand held GPS

Good maps can be bought through "Florida Sportsman" as well as electronic charts through "Blue Chart" or other programs that can interact with a GPS. It just depends on how much you want to invest.

Bamboo is cheaper than a stiffy and after a few days on the water with TC...I go through several bamboo poles.... :lol:

If you want a cheap push pole, go to any Lumber Yard, and buy yourself a closet pole handrail. 16' should be plenty long, unless you've got a big boat. Should cost around $25. Works great for small boats, or big jon boats.

Chalk prefers a stiffy, But will settle for a Bamboo pole.

I dont use Bamboo, :smt012 maybe I should ?? but gud-ole PVC pipe, V'd at the end has worked for me. & its pretty cheap too !
