Put in at the LH at 7:30. Lots of boats out today. Fished the East River bars and pulled in an 18" and a 17" and couldn't net a similar length trout. All on CT w/ a green minnow. Bite slowed and didn't want to hit the bars once submerged, so we moved East to some spots I found Friday. Really clear water about 4' deep. Did a couple drifts and pulled up about a dozen shorts. In the clearer water they liked a lure with sparkle. I was using clear DOA's and dad had on a gold sparkle plastic jig, all under CTs. Tried further out hoping to find bigger fish but got nada, so we went back closer to keep playing with the shorts. Ended up catching several more shorts and a couple cats.

Along the way we marked an abandoned craptrap just below the surface:
N30 04.258 W084 08.809
Looked like it could mess ya up with a little less water.

Tried fishing West in Kitchen Cove and several places nearby and got nothing. Late afternoon, the bite just turned off. Most running around I've done in a day so far - GPS showed 27 miles. :)
