What kind of line are you using?

What line are you using on your spinning reels?

I had 12lb Spiderwire poly on my reel for the past few years for all my bass fishing work. Loved it. The narrow dia. easily cast the tiny Rapalas that I enjoy using. Since starting inshore saltwater I've encountered some new problems with the braided lines. I used up and I replaced the Spiderwire with ~12lb PowerPro - which I was never really happy with. That stuff knotted up like crazy... I guess it's the constaint wind that comes along with fishing at the coast that helps to create windknots and the action of the CT rig that creates lower line tangles. Consequently, after cutting out knot after knot - I've gone back to mono. I've got 12lb SpiderWire Mono on there now and it seemed to work well last weekend. I'm surprised at the huge difference in stretch between the poly and the mono. The sensitivity also seems quite reduced going back to mono - but...the wind knots were significantly less and I could spend more time fishing and less time cursing.

I'm using 8# "Iron Silk" on one reel-on the rod I use with a Cajun Thunder, and on the other reels I am using 8# clear Ande. I also have some 8# Cajun red line on one of the reels.

I'm using Power Pro on my CT rod. I use Silverthread AN40 on everything else, both salt and fresh.

Was using Trilene Big Game Inshore until I ran out of the huge spool I had. Trilene no longer makes the inshore variety. I will be switching to regular big game when I change the line next. I use ande backcountry 15 green on my calcutta.

10# PowerPro on five SS1300s with short 20# fluoro leader

15# PowerPro on one SS1300 for comparison (so far I think I'll switch to it if I EVER WEAR OUT the 10# (snow white almost and into 5th year)

14# Fireline on two SS1600s

20# PLine on shark rod

4# PLine on pinfish rod

SO MANY LINES...SO LITTLE TIME OR MONEY TO TRY THEM ALL :-D

I am using Power Pro on all my rods. Depending on what its used for as to the poundage, but they are all back with mono. I have been using the Power Pro for 3 years now and in that time I have only had one wind knot. I swear by the stuff now.

Power Pro or Stren Super Braid with a 20# fluorocarbon leader. Had alot less problems with braid than mono. Don't know what the difference is, I'm certainly not that skilled. Maybe some difference in fishing style or reel?
