Does anybody think that the recent shark attacks are going to thin out the the scalloping crowds? Anybody going to give it a try this weekend? I need too know, to see what my odds are. I'll be in the water by lunch or when the bite is over. (FISH BITE NOT SHARK BITE)

Yeah I know. It has been going on for awhile now. I spoke to the EPA guy who states that the bacteria levels can change at any minute. He stated to me that he would not hesitate to take his own son to the water. Worse case scenerio is bad case of the chits or vomiting. Just had a guy come back from St. George about a wk ago and still has the chits on and off. Dr. asked have you been in the water anywhere

? Everybody could use a good cleansing every now and then.

We were all over between Spring Creek and Mashes last weekend......couldn't see the bottom until you hit it!
We're gonna wait for the water to clear.
BTW, we did swim and no one has the chits!

I went scalloping at Lanark and there's enough people in tight enough groups and enough boats in the shallows that the sharks (and the sizable fish) have shipped out to return in September. Scallops are decent, but thin and hard to spot in the long grass-don't worry about breaking your limit!
