I haven't read this before, so I thought I would post this. I fish for trout and reds mostly with soft body baits either Big Hammer Lures or Saltwater Assassins. Most of these have scent impregnated in them. When these lure get to ruffed up I keep the remaining bodies and when fishing for pin fish with sibiki rigs, I put a small pinch on the hooks. If the pin fish are in a non bite mode, these will turn them on and I have had no problem getting the amount I need. Give it a try. It really works.

Wonder ifn it would help the grooper/snapper bite to add a little along with other baits, particular dead bait.
