With the shark attacks lately, wading might be a little more dangerous or scary for some people. Me being one of them. Why couldn't a person squeeze a cooler into an inner tube and then inflate it? That would keep the cooler stable enough to float and a place to keep your catch cold and safe from dangling in the water. Has anyone tried this?

I believe that sounds like an invention, just waiting to be invented.

I have done that. It is a great place to keep cold beverages.

Sounds almost like this 'bama bass boat' e-mail I got the other day:

2 sheets of builders foam board.........$12

8 bungee cords...... $4

1 lawn chair........... $7

4 used fence boards....... free (taken after 10pm)

1 pawn shop trolling motor............... $ 25

battery from your pickup truck ... free

The experience............ priceless

I like to keep bait in my pocket when wading. It attracts the B-I-G game fish! :lick:

I have a 200 qt SSI. I think I could get into it, might have to if fuel keeps going up and a closed grouper season in Nov-Dec. What a great idea! I think I will drag it out to the lake this weekend and give it a go.

The scarry thing is :o i've waded around in St. Joe bay with live pinnfish in my pocket, they live just fine until they are needed. I carry a pinnfish rod and a trout / redfish rod. Its amazing how many fish you catch when you slow down and work a small area. I guess the live bait in the pocket is probably not the smartest thing going on. Sounds like no problem if nothing happens but can you imagine if something did, you'd be the laughing stock of the US, man attacked , had live fish in his pocket. Yeah right ! That would make the front page for sure ...
