Anyone ever use these things as bait?
I have a property covered with them. I can literally pick up about 30 at anytime after dark just on my deck.
I don't ever fish freshwater but I remember as a kid I was fishing a pond and one hopped by and I picked him up, put him on my hook and I caught a lunker.
There is a pretty good lake near my house - can I pick up some frogs and toss them out there under a cork? Are they legal to use as bait?
This would necessitate me buying a freshwater license so I am looking for some input.
Tree Frogs?

Weightless, at first light, or late evening. Hook the frog in the rear end, throw him in the pads, and let him do his thing.Atticus wrote:Any rigging ideas (besides hook and cork)?
Might have me some fun right next to the cane pole maffia.
I just read the freshwater regs and didn't see anything about frogs. Goldfish are illegal though.
Goldfish are illegal because they are actually carp, and will grow to enormous size, and eat all the veggies.
