This question has probably been kicked around many times in the past but what do some of you use for fishfinders ? When I bought my present boat a year ago I ordered an Eagle 240 combination GPS and fishfinder which has served my purpose pretty well…

Last weekend out of St Marks my buddy and I were hunting some rocks that we had marked….the constant switching back and forth from GPS to depthfinder especially with the water movement was aggravating….

I figure its now time to buy a new fishfinder and probably upgrade the GPS also…I looked at a Garmin 240 in a catalog which looks like a pretty good unit for the price….

How bout some of you giving me some input on this….Taking some of the advice offered on here has sure proved profitable to me !

Look at the Garmin 250. It's a step up from the 240.

Are you bottom fishing or inshore? That would be there determing factor. I personally have a Garmin 178 its a combo, I like it very well so far, but I inshore fish out of my boat. If I was offshore looking at bottom a lot I could see where it could get aggravating as you stated.
