For anyone interested in kayak fishing, touring, or what have you, check out all the new Hobie kayaks. Hobie is one of the few companies in any business that actually listens to their customers, and then each year tries to improve their products by incorporating both their customer's and dealer's ideas in their latest products.
Especially impressive to me is the new Adventure fishing/touring model. A full 16 feet long, some 4 feet longer than the Outback, yet only 3 lbs. heavier! The longer the yak, the faster it will go, so if you are interested in speed, in addition to fishability, this baby might be your cup of tea. The Adventure has been clocked at 6.2 mph going into a 10 mph headwind and someone else hit 6.5, based on recent field reports from KFS.

Here is the Product page-check them out, including a new tandem rig called the Outfitter that comes in at only 62 lbs. Also a newly re-designed Mirage drive, a new fold-up rudder, both port and starboard built-in handles, a new dagger (center) board for sailing the Adventure, mesh storage pockets, and the list goes on.
