Jodie and I launched The Red Fishing Machine at the lighthouse pool at 0600 this morning and headed west.
It wasn't a banner day. Nothing like Friday. The tide was a slow fall today. And the sun was bright early. No fog or overcast. The wind picked up about 0900 and that cut down on seeing the fish move. Still not a terrible day. We landed 5 reds, and lost that many more.
I'm beginning to like this red fishing. The only down side is affording the tackle. It was a $25 tackle morning.
“Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.”
What do you mean? Does that mean they stole 5 x $5 plugs?
Dave, there's ugly stuff under the water in some of these places. I would immagine one could pick up thousands of dollars in tackle if you could see the stuff.
Wasn't in the Key West, Eerman. I was in my new (to me) flats boat. I wouldn't even think of taking the Key West in the places I've been the last week.
Sounds like y'all had a sporting day there TC.
I ain't had much hankerin' to get out in the heat myself, since the blow came through.
Maybe we'll see a little change in the Wx trends in 2 or 3 weeks.
Come on 'fall'.
