A good friend and I launched from the lighthouse at daylight this morning. We headed west and shortly set up a drift in some 4' water adjacent to some 9' water. Landed 4 trout (18"-21") on topwater baits.

Eased into some redfish water as the tide began to rise. We had opportunities at 12 redfish and were able to land 5 from 25"-34". Caught half on topwater and half on spoon and spinnerbaits. We left them biting when we headed in at 1:00 p.m.

Great morning but a little warm. Can't wait until next time.

Nice report birddog. I'm usually not brave enough to slide around the skinny water around St. Marks but the reports from you and tincan are making me rethink things.

Thanks birddog - we're headin' down there tomorrow AM with my brother. Last time I took him saltwater fishing, we were stuck on the shore and he got skunked. Hopefully we can get him some trout or reds! Gonna try every trick I know. Thanks for the info
