Friday- Put in at the light house at first light and headed west. Fished the last of the out going tide and most of the incoming. Ended up with four keepers to 18in. Found one spot that we could catch shorts on all day long. Even anchored there just to check the theory. Don't know what it is about that spot on the flats, but there sure are a lot of small ones there. Total four keepers and one blue.

Sunday- Had to wait for more daylight at the light house to put in, first ones there. Headed west to where we fished Friday and right of the bat a keeper on topwater. Ended up only catching three on the outgoing tide. Stayed around through the low, baking the whole time, but were glad we did. About 1 or 1:30 they turned on where we were. Put two twins at 22-23" in the cooler and one 19.5". These were the big ones. Several more shorts and one about 18. Also, had one spot that we caught silver trout at every time we came over it. Kept three of them. Would have stayed longer but we were both fried by about 2:30 or so and headed back to the light house in a decent chop (at least it was for the 14' Jon boat).
Highlight of the trip was having a 5-6ft shark jump clean out of the water to eat my Skitter Walk about 7:30. Even better is the fact that I got him to the boat (about 15 min later) and got the lure back out of his mouth! Not the smartest thing I ever done for sure. Wish we had a camera. Total seven specs and three silver.

Good weekend of fishing and enough fillets for a good fry.

Thanks for the report  What was the depth that you found the fish and generally where did you set up your drifts with respect to Patty's Island... Big Pass....East, West, South... ? Thanks again. :D

Caught em anywhere from 3-8ft, generally more shallow than deep. Closer to the light house that Patty's. I'll say that there wasn't a lot of boats around where we were, everyone seemed to be farther out.
