redfish and trout

Post by 1-850-Bay-Fish »

Here it is the first week in September, wow the summer is fading fast. The redfish and trout are still hitting hard on the flats. Cast a good gold spoon and your there. We here at A Bay Charters use a Capt Mikes with the green sticker, but most any gold spoon will work in a pinch. Big pin fish are also working well for redfish and trout and you can catch the pin fish with the gold spoon too. Scallops season is about to end so I hope everyone got their share. We would love to put some back for the winter but with all the storms and loss of power we know better. Large blues and Spanish are still willing to take what you have to offer so don’t be shy cast away if you want to put one in the boat. The blues and Spanish also love that gold spoon. Today’s fish were all landed on red and white top waters and gold spoons except one we used a live pin fish . Good luck and have a safe trip. Captain Goodrich
