Blue/Silver bottom Top Dog seems ta work for most of em "except when the grass is thick" :-D Then I switch to a Glow White/Red tail Rip Tide shrimp  :-D

Gold spoon. And if that won't work try a gold spoon.

I think if you asked birddog, he would suggest a gold spoon. :-D I haven't tried the Gulp baits; but, I was watchin' Florida Fishing Report the other day and Capt Rick said that there had been some complaining on the professional redfish tours about the Gulp products. Seems folks were just throwing them out and letting them sit and were catching fish.

Spoon, smoon :o aint nothin like a strike on a top water :-D   and what fun is there in just throwing something out there and waiting for a bite anyhow :smt017 :smt025

Gotta work at the point tomorrow, and one house has a dock that the builder keeps telling me of the redfish all around this dock on Alligator Bay.
Along wid da tools tomoorrow there will be a spincast with a topwater plug loaded, ya know those 15 min "rest" breaks! :-D

Your right of course, Wevans. Topwater rules. But the spoon is more consistant, although not nearly as exciting.

Very nice day. I'm partial to an unweighted jerk worm but Wevans is right . . . it's hard to beat a clumsy old red wollering on top behind a surface plug.

Yup. Everyone needs a rest break now and then. Good luckredbelly.

BTW, if you were to ask Birddog what to throw at reds, he'd probably say a spoon.
