Got a chance to head out of Homasassa yesterday, first since we moved to the area, found the trout in around 4 feet of water, caught 4, 2-19inchers , one 24 inches and one 16, then the dolphins came in to eat, tore the area up for over 30 min, no trout would hang around after that...
But the water was nice, bit cloudy, but what I would call, trout water, you could see bottom but not real clear..
Wondering, does anyone have a website with pictures of the grasses and weeds of the gulf?

I have used a lure made by "Yozui", called a "Twitchin Minnow", used it from the panhandle to Tampa Bay, caught about everything, Trout, Reds, Shark, and include in that a 38lb Cobia in Tampa Bay...
But here is the problem , can't find them any where, even on line...and if I do, I buy them up....they are Red and Yellow in color, under the Yozui area of "Bass Arms".
Back to Homasassa, water was about 3-4 foot deep, water color , murky, weeds every where, but huge areas of patchy weeds is where I found the trout....
I live in the Citrus County area so will be updating the reports as I learn the area..
