Fished the Oyster bars first thing, caught 2 Reds "lost another niceun", 3 Trout "could only keep one, all over 20"s" lots of short strikes

headed out and started trolling at 35 foot just off of Buoy 26, went out to 50 foot, then trolled to Buoy 24, caught 7 Grouper, all but one was short

ran in at 2:30 and saw quite a few dead bait fish floating in the channel going into Mashes

so we may not escape the red tide after all

Thanks Wevans
At least we know there are still some grouper out there. Think I'll try some of my spots this weekend.

Hey Wevans, I was at Marker 24 earlier this year and the bouy was sunk. Have they raised it? Of course this was months ago.

Maybe that's why I didn't see it

I turned and went in about a mile away from where it should have been, I just figured the haze had it blocked from my sight

Good to hear SD

it must have been the haze then

it would have turned a person around without a GPS or compass

Thankfully I haven't seen any signs of red tide around Lanark and Turkey Point.
