Been out of town all week with work and haven't been around the computer. Put in at the LH at around 7:00 - nice and cool morning. Ran East and fished the hightide close in to a creek mouth. Really quickly ran into lots of fish messing around the surface. We each caught several trout on topwater and a small shark. Played with something big striking at it but I ran out of room between the fish and the boat. Ran up into the creek to try at a red but I think we were too late. Saw TONS of bait pods up in there and got a couple of strikes but no fish. From there on out, for the rest of the day it was hit or miss. Finding fish was tough - but once we found them we each got a couple before they ran out.

Flies were REAL BAD. They didn't want to blow out of the boat...just buried themselves into nooks and crannies so they could come back once you started fishing.

We each got a good 20-21" trout. Got mine to the deck before it started floppin' like crazy - snapping the line and sending my chugbug flying off the boat. He was worth the lure though - just to watch him hit it no more than 20ft from the bow of the boat. I love them topwaters. Didn't count the short trout - we each got plenty and a handful of keepers each. Also one shark, two ambitious pinfish and a small flounder that flipped off at the boat.

Saw a small school (looked like four fish) of jack crevalle (I think) swim by the bow of the boat while fishing over to the West. They were huge - each looked about 4 ft. long. I'd never seen those before - wouldn't mind catchin' one!

Saw a white F-250 in the parkinglot with a BBF.net sticker.
