Sorry folks, but no good report today.

The water is muddy looking, again. Maybe 1.5' visibility. And there is more floating grass than I've seen in a while. You get grassed up on the first twitch of a topwater bait. 3 cranks with a spoon and the same results.

I managed one 25" spanish, and had one large trout on, that buried me up in the grass, and pulled off.

I also found another new rock today while running. Didn't find it to mark it, but thanks to my skeg guard, no damage.

Then, to top things off, one heck of a storm rolled in across the flats.

However, nothing broke, so it was a good day.

I have more than 2 baits. And I threw other baits. Even threw a weightless eel. The line grassed up.

It was bound to happen, sooner or later. Keeps your feet on the ground. It was better than what I did today.

TC, what would you call the conditions as to the winds and waves?? Forecast was in the advisory category yesterday... just curious.

As far as your success....it's hard to believe you had that tough of a day and I wasn't in the boat with you :D All things considered... I'd say you did real well with only a 15 minute internship with Chalk.... a lesser man would have probably been much more corrupted than what you came away with :smt005
