Put in at the LH at 2:30 and caught the last 30 minutes of the Low tide. The action was pretty hot for 20 minutes - with lots of strikes and fish activity. Landed a decent trout and a ladyfish on a propellor / floating mirrolure. The ladyfish jumped at least half a dozen times.
Once 3:00 came around somebody turned off the 'fish switch' and the bite ENDED. We left the flats and ran up the East River and got skunked. Stayed around til 5:00 and had to head home. The wind outta the South kept you scootin' along pretty good on a drift. Lots of grass. Very cloudy water.
One of these days tide patterns are gonna 'click' in my head and we won't be trying to fish the slack.
