Thursday started out looking like a bad day, bad weather forcast
bad radar picture, but My daughter and son-in-law have a NEW boat
and wanted to try it out.

Pictures will follow but for now it's the one on the bottom left
with a 250 yamaha four stroke.

Started out expecting 5 foot seas but when we got past the bird rack
nothing over 2. He's got his GPS hooked up but not a bottom machine yet, hoped to run into some macks and break in the fish box.

Off in the horizon things looked scary, but we went to ST. marks and Wakulla reef hoping for some bites, caught large bait fish, large sting ray
and cut off a few times. The weather never approached and we got several hours of good line soaking, when the bottom machine is in and the weather cools down a little those spots will be hot.

Still nothing in the box, decided to drift the flats, now with the tide in.
My wife tied into a nice mack and we called it a fine day and had lunch
at the riverside cafe'. A stolen day on the water with my great family.
The BOAT was awesome.

That boat looks great ! 22 - 23 ft ? I have a 225 CC Key West and for our area it preforms great, we have made many 40 mile out runs. I think you'll be very happy with it. Glad you got to get out, read my diving report from 3 wks ago. Fish were almost nil in 40ft, i'm still not sure what the red tide has done out there but hopefully next weekend i'll get to check some more spots and hopefully can get a few before the closure. frank

24 ft, I'll be posting a report out of Lanark soon,
no sign of red tide, lots of grouper.
