Got to the bait hole around 4:30. Hammered the finger mullet and gold bait fish. (The gold baitfish would prove to be the ticket as I would learn later in the day)
Hit the beach and waded out. Super low tide and smooth as a baby's bottom. We give it a go for awhile and WHAM! My fishing partner lands a 22-24 inch red.
He brings it in on a dead LY.
Then nothing notta catfish or shark zip natta.
The as it is almost dark the bite turns on. The bait of choice is the gold baitfish. I miss something big and silver.
My buddy lands a keeper flounder and 2 blues!
The best part of this story is we went back to his resturant (The Main Ingredient) and he cooked up the fish!
Blackened redfish, grilled Bluefish, And grilled Flounder with almonds.
I have never had Bluefish. It was TASTY!
