Hit a couple of spots out by 24 yesterday. Things were slow. Couldn't find any pins at the shoals and only able to get a couple livies at 24. Fished LY's . Ended up with one on LY and one on live, the only two taps of the day, other than a freelined live getting rocked. Seemed they weren't stacked up yet, I guess they know to wait a few days and it's safe.
Did see some heavy feeding on the way out in about 20 ft of water between the shoals and Rotary.
Thought it was spanish but threw everything at em and notta
Ended up getting a hookup on a spoon finally, and after nearly spooling me on my small spinner, got up to the boat and it was a Bonita! he threw it at the boat.
There must have been thousands out there. Couldn't get a hookup after that though. I couldn't make out any bait, but the birds were diving so my guess is they were following some glass minnows. Anybody have any tips or thoughts. I figured a fly would have been the way to go. They were hitting right next to the boat at times. Worth the trip alone.
